HID’s Indala® FlexISO® Imageable Card is ISO 7810 compliant with a nominal thickness of 0.03 inches (0.76 mm), and has the ability to contain multiple ID technologies in a single credential. The card can include a magnetic stripe for use with other systems, such as cafeteria vending, copy machines and fuel dispensing.
The Indala FlexISO Card can be programmed in the factory or in the field using the Indala ProxSmith Programmer and Toolkit with Wiegand, magnetic stripe and serial data formats. It can be used interchangeably with other Indala credentials on most systems and can be ordered with specified facility codes and ID numbers.
Digital photographs and graphics can be printed directly over the FlexISO’s front surface by using a dye-sublimation printer. Bar codes can be imaged onto the card for systems tracking, time and attendance or job costing.
Exclusive FlexSecur Security Technology
All HID Indala 125 kHz Proximity Cards feature FlexSecur technology, which provides an added level of access system security through a verification process at the reader. A feature unique to the HID Indala product line, FlexSecur screens out unauthorized cards prior to sending card data to the host system.
When customizing cards using Re-Transfer Printers that fuse images to the surface of the card by applying heat and pressure (such as the Fargo HDP5000) we recommend the use of composite cards, which are better able to withstand the higher application temperatures.

Everything seems to be working
Hey MJ - yes we were able to install drivers on a new computer (we needed IT to come to do that as access was blocked for teachers) and now everything seems to be working. Thanks!

Enjoying the new system
Good morning MJ, This just makes me wish we did this years ago!! Honestly so far everything is going great, a few small things we have had to figure out but overall it has worked fantastic. We are halfway through our first box of cards already and people are really enjoying the new system.

Organizations needing to print less than 25 cards per year may find it more economical to use a card printing service.
Dual-sided printers usually cost significantly more than single-sided printers. In some cases a single-sided printer can be used to print both sides of an ID card:
If the back of every card is identical (i.e.: If lost, return to... This card is property of...), you can use a single-sided printer and pre-print a batch of card backs, often using an inexpensive black ribbon. Those cards can be sent through the printer a second time to include customized information on the other side. This method is not recommended for printing on technology cards due to possible damage it could cause to the card.
Even if the back and front is unique for every card, you can print one side of an ID card, flip it over and print the back. This is much more time consuming, and is not recommended for organizations that print a large volume of ID Cards. This method is also not recommended for printing on technology cards due to possible damage it could cause to the card.
Only a few models of ID card printers on the market are compatible with Mac computers.
There is currently not any commercial ID card software that is compatible with Mac computers. If at all possible, we recommend using a PC to manage an ID card system.
